Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

I am honored you are taking time to learn more about what therapy has to offer. Life isn’t always easy and taking the first step in seeking therapy can sometimes be the most difficult. Even the strongest people can use help in dealing with some of life’s tougher challenges. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment that allows you to explore freely in working towards change and solutions for your future.

I provide care in many areas, and have special interest in working with children, teens, couples, and those facing anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, and suicide.
My approach comes from Solution Focused Therapy, which involves identifying and discussing the client’s strengths through self-discovery. This helps clients change by constructing solutions instead of focusing on problems. I strongly believe in meeting a person right where they are. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

My career began in the mental health field working at a domestic violence shelter. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with and provide therapeutic treatment to kids who have aged out of foster care. I have worked with many seeking solutions by using evidenced-based models to strengthen a child’s family and support systems, and I have seen dramatic improvement and their long-term success. Additionally, I have experience working with Oklahoma’s only 24/7 free mobile crisis program serving adults and children in psychiatric crisis. I appreciate how this program prevents suicide by providing the least restrictive level of care.

I am here to listen, understand and empathize with you, whether that be amid anxiety,
depression, or life changes. The progress of therapy will be at your pace so please don’t hesitate to contact me. Let’s take that leap of faith together and begin your journey for a brighter tomorrow.
