Hi, I'm Isaac!

Isaac McCaslin
Candidate for Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC-C)
I have had the privilege to walk alongside people from a various backgrounds in ministry settings for over a decade. And I consider it a worthy calling to do this in a counseling setting. With a holistic approach, I believe each person has dignity and is worthy of living a full and joyful life in a community with others.
Over the years I’ve learned what lies at the heart of every person is an identity animated by one’s “belovedness”. I believe we learn to have compassion towards ourselves and others, as we develop the understanding of truly and completely being beloved. This compassion not only heals our inner selves, but also frees us to live the life we always wanted. Henri Nouwen, a priest, said “Home is the center of my being where I can hear the voice that says: ‘You are my Beloved, on you my favor rests”~ the same voice that gave life to the first Adam and spoke to Jesus, the second Adam; the same voice that speaks to all the children of God and sets them free to live in the midst of a dark world while remaining in the light.”
My faith is an integral part of who I am and is the ground of my belief that you are worthy of being loved. Spirituality does not have to be a part of our journey together, as it is my desire to meet you where you are and the work we do together will be based on your preferences. I aim to foster hope in the journey towards inner healing and healing in your relationships. The evidence-based methods I primarily use are Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help guide you into living a life of freedom in a dark world. Together we will work towards listening to, and accepting parts of yourself, that are working to protect or manage you, or parts you may have exiled. My whole-hearted intention is to provide time and space for you to remove any masks you carry so you can be your authentic self.
I would be honored to walk alongside you to become the person you are meant to be.
