Hi, I'm Hannah!

Hannah Wilcox

Candidate for Licensed Marital & Family Therapy (LMFT-C)

Everyone is on their own journey in life. As each one of us is affected and influenced by the world and the people around us, sometimes our journey makes us question the direction. There are different obstacles and everyone is unique in their own ways. So we need different things to navigate the different parts of life and everyone’s unique needs. Being on your journey is part of life, but being able to navigate the journey is part of living. As your therapist, I want to be there to offer a safe space for you to figure out navigation. I think therapy may feel challenging at times, but shouldn’t be scary. But I will support you in your growth and help guide you as you learn who you are and who you want to be.

The way I practice therapy shows up in your ability to change your thoughts, feelings, and actions. In this way, we work through activities and visual representations of the problem. My goal is always to ensure whatever way I approach, it’s in a way that therapy works for you as the client, not me as the therapist. So the importance of understanding how the mental and physical self are connected are used to help understand yourself better.

I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals over the age of 12. I appreciate seeing those experiencing life-changing challenges, depression, anxiety, couple’s problems, as well as other common life stressors. Whether you are in couples, family, or individual sessions with me, I will continue fostering good relationships in your life. Because relationships can be difficult at times, learning to build healthy connections is important. So I’ll work with you to help build those connections and grow your support system. And you can expect to experience relationship-building work, activities, and support.

Treatment looks different for each individual, which is why we develop what is called a treatment plan. For us this treatment plan will guide us, not be absolute. This means we’ll agree to work the plan, but if you come in one day really needing to work on something unstated on the plan, I will happily follow your lead. Your treatment is yours to have, I’m simply a supportive guide as you navigate your journey. And I am happy you are here.
