Life continuously throws curve balls and coping can be difficult when you are a child and are not in direct control of your environment and situations. Sometimes children need someone to sit with and help process so many complicated emotions, feelings, and thoughts. I also understand relationships are hard and take intentionality and patience. I appreciate empowering the clients I meet with and I believe in the transformative value of having a listening ear. I want to be that person for your child and encourage them to shine through all of it. I believe your child can be a fierce light in this world despite their circumstances. For couples, I want to be a safe space to repair, reconnect, learn, and grow.

Relationships are the environment where we learn so much about ourselves and how we show up. I appreciate working with couples who desire to learn about each other’s experience of their relationship as they enhance their care for one another and figure out how to do the work it takes to heal and flourish.

I deeply enjoy working with children under age 13 experiencing various youth challenges including behavioral problems, attachment issues, depression, anxiety, stress, and adjusting to life changes. I use play therapy which is a form of psychotherapy using play to address mental, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Play is a child’s first language and so many things can be revealed through your child’s playtime. During this process I aim to not only get to know your child better but also to become well acquainted with you. I understand parenting can be tough and I want to help you navigate these challenges in life.

There’s an old saying “it takes a village to raise a child” and I want to be apart of your village. This will be a journey of us working together towards expressing their needs and working through the issues facing them. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and accepting space to foster change and support. One of my goals is to establish a trusting relationship with your child. My goal is not to “fix” your child, but to understand them. With the right tools and techniques, I aim to bring out what’s already great inside of them.

Professional Disclosure
I am working toward licensure in professional counseling under the Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health.

Insurance and Fees
My standard rate is $105 per session and my intake session rate is $155. I also accept Medicaid insurance (aka “Soonercare”). Regarding all other insurers, as a candidate for licensure I am not able to file with private insurance companies at this time.
