Hi, I'm Rhona!

Rhona Kivumbi

Candidate for Professional Counseling (LPC-C)

It takes immense bravery to acknowledge you’re struggling, especially when you feel like giving up. Simply considering therapy is a testament to your strength, and I honor that brave step. So I see my purpose as providing you with a truly safe and comfortable sanctuary where you can openly explore difficult emotions, challenging thoughts, and complex life experiences, all without judgment.

I find deep fulfillment in supporting individuals from diverse walks of life, and I am particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents and young adults. My experience is focused on guiding clients through:
– The weight of Depression and Anxiety
– Overcoming Stress and it’s impact
– Learning to navigate and manage intense emotions
– Building healthier Relationships and Improving Interpersonal Connections
– Coping with significant Life Transitions
– Addressing challenges with Addiction

At the heart of my practice is Person-Centered therapy. This is because I believe you possess incredible inner resources and the potential to heal. By facilitating your unique journey of self-discovery and growth, my role is to respectfully walk alongside you. I also integrate insights from Psychodynamic Therapy, inviting us to gently explore how past experiences might be subtly shaping your current challenges. With my guidance, you will begin to see the recurring patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, leading to a profound understanding of yourself, your motivations, and how you cope.

This is not a passive process; it’s a collaborative partnership. We will define meaningful goals for our time together and track progress, celebrating every step forward. Between sessions, you will have space to reflect on new insights and integrate them into your daily life.

If you’re ready to explore towards greater well-being and lasting change, I invite you to take that courageous next step. Reach out today— let us connect and begin your journey.
